SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder is a streaming audio capture program developed by NCH Software. It is used for recording audio. The program can also convert any audio files being played through a computer to supported audio formats (wav or mp3 files) whenever necessary. It can record Internet radio webcasts as well. Saving streaming audio broadcasts is also possible if the user is utilizing BroadWave for broadcasting. The program can be used for recording streaming audio conferences as well. Recording conferences is also possible as long as the conference is hosted by the NCH Software’s Quorum Conference Server. The application is also used for recording VoIP phone calls made via Express Talk softphone or Skype.

SoundTap Streaming Audio Recorder offers various streaming audio recorder features. It can be used to record audio in direct digital without losing the quality. A wide variety of chosen compression and codec options is also available when saving the converted audio files. The users can also record then mix microphone input for capturing both sides when users are recording a conference or VoIP conversation. However, this feature is optional. The program can also record the streams straight to the VRS Recording System. Recorded stream can then be used by the enterprise database system.
