STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™

STAR WARS: The Old Republic is a MMORPG that was first released in 2011. The game is set in the Star Wars universe 3,500 years before the happenings in the Star Wars movies. Players have the choice to join one of the two factions – Sith Empire or the Galactic Republic. Each of the two factions has four available classes, and each class can specialize further into two classes. Some of the classes in the Galactic Republic are Trooper, Jedi Knight, Smuggler, and Jedi Consular. Classes in the Sith Empire are Imperial Agent, Bounty Hunter, Sith Inquisitor, and Sith Warrior.

Each of the classes also has their own starship. The starship is also the location for the player’s operations. The ships can be upgraded throughout the course of the game, making them more effective during missions. Several planets and moons are also features in the game. Some of them are Corellia, Hoth, Taris, Tatooine, and Ord Mantell.

To advance through SWTOR’s storyline, players must complete missions and explore the universe while defeating enemies. Characters level up and learn new skills when taught by trainers who can be found in several different locations. Players are also given choices in the game, which will ultimately affect the outcome of the story.
