Battlefield 1942

Battlefield 1942 or BF1942 is a first-person shooter game that was released in 2002. The game is set during World War II and players assume the role of five different classes (Assault, Anti-Tank, Scout, Medic, and Engineer) as part of the Axis Team (Germany, Italy, and Japan) or the Allied Team (United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and the Soviet Union).

In single player mode, the only game mode is Conquest. Players need to capture the flags of enemies or neutral territories and take control of theme. These flags are also spawn points for infantries. The player wins when the there no more enemy flags left. The flags can be captured when the player is within its range. Flags have four states. These are:

• Neutral Flag – This type of flag can be freely captured. Neutral flags are those that have not been challenged since the start of the round. They can also be those that were made neutral by the enemy.
• Conquered Flag – A conquered flag is one that is held by a team. This is where units may spawn.
• Captured Flag – Captured flags are those that are in the enemy’s possession. Enemy units and vehicles are spawned from captured flags.
• Uncapturable Flags – These types of flags appear when no flags are available for capture.
