Desktops is an application for creating up to four desktops in the computer. The program is useful for organizing the computer and dedicating the desktops for a certain task (games, work, personal, etc). The configuration dialog window of the program shows the options for switching the Desktops. Users can choose hotkeys for switching between desktops. The hotkeys are Alt, Control, Windows, and Shift. Users can also choose Number buttons (1, 2, 3, or 4) or Function buttons (F1, F2, F3, or F4) as a specifier for each desktop setup.
The program’s button stays on the Windows system tray. When switching between desktops, users can press on the specified hotkeys or bring up the four desktops on the screen. The Desktops program uses Window desktop objects for the desktops that are created. Because of this, the applications present on a desktop are bound to that specific desktop. Windows that are open cannot be transferred from one desktop to another. To exit the Desktops application, users need to log off the computer.
Here are other features of the Desktops program:
• Easy to use interface
• Does not use up a lot of system resources
• Runs quietly in the background
