Creative MediaSource

Creative MediaSource is an audio collection management application that comes with some applications from Creative Technology. The program is capable of playing several media formats like DVD-Audio, WMA, WAV, MP3, and many more. The music player has an Audio Clean-Up tool that can eliminate the pops and hisses from audio tracks. The Smart-Cross-Fade also provides seamless transition between audio tracks.

Creative MediaSource provides several tools for organization. Once the music files have been transferred to the program, users can sort songs by genre, artist, or album. The Smart Playlist feature automatically creates a playlist based on the user’s preferences. These include the genre, artist, or tempo of the songs. The Smart Playlist works hand-in-hand with Analyze This. Analyze This monitors the tempo of the songs so that a playlist can be created.

Users can also create their own music tracks with the program. Creative MediaSource has a recording feature that saves recorded sounds in the form of mp3s, WMAs, or WAVs. The audio quality during the recording session can be improved by adding effects, such as harmonizers, distortion, and many more. CD burning is possible with the program, too. The process is easy and can be done just by dragging and dropping files on the Burn List.
