SketchBook Express is a graphics editor that is based on the Autodesk SketchBook Pro software. It is pre-installed in tablets, such as Bamboo (3rd generation) and Wacom Intuos4. It can also be downloaded to use for tablet computers, iPads, and other touch-screen devices. The application comes with several drawing and painting tools that replicate real effects of paintbrushes, markers, and pencils. The program is optimized for tablet use so that users can have a genuine drawing experience. Other tools included in the application are airbrushes, sharpen, and blur tools, flood fill, and erasers. There are also different draw modes so that users can add objects and shapes to creations.
SketchBook Express supports the use of basic layers. Up to six layers can be used for each project. It has a simple interface and the tools are found on the left side and the upper portion of the window. The program offers a wide variety of textures and colors to choose from.
