Ulead DVD MovieFactory

The DVD MovieFactory is a DVD authoring application that was formerly developed by Ulead. The program came bundled with many Toshiba Satellite laptops. With the program, users can easily create DVD movies using their home videos and photos. The program can be used by non-professionals, too, since the program has a step-by-step workflow: importing, choosing a menu, adding a title, and burning. There are more than a hundred menus to choose from and they can be customized according to the user’s need.

The DVD MovieFactory program support HD formats. It can import content from tapes, hard drives, memory cards, discs, and also HDV, AVCHD, and Blu-Ray discs. The program also features a Smart Proxy technology. This allows smooth editing of HD files.

Editing options and tools included in DVD MovieFactory include the following:
• trimming of video clips
• opening sequences with titles and audio
• express fix for photos
• slideshow tools
• effect customization

Burning CDs can be done quickly with the drag and drop feature. Users can create CDs, mp3 discs, DVDs, and Blu-Ray discs. Users can also create back-ups of their existing discs for non-commercial use. Apart from this, the program also comes with a label maker. There are several designs to choose from and they can be customized, too.
