Media Manager for WALKMAN

Media Manager for WALKMAN is a simple utility for transferring audio and video files from Sony WALKMAN to the computer of vice versa. The program is compatible with selected WALKMAN models. It does not support files protected with DRM (Digital Rights Management). The application was first released in 2008. The software allows users to rip audio discs for personal use. Files can be saved in MP3 or AAC-LC format. The program also supports a range of bit rates from 32 kbps to 256 kbps.

One of the main features of the application is importing of track information. The application automatically accesses the CDDB (Compact Disc Database) to look for information on the different tracks ripped from audio discs. In addition, video files, image files, and audio files can be downloaded from RSS feeds and transferred to the WALKMAN.

The Media Manager for WALKMAN program supports transferring of audio, video, and image files from the computer to a WALKMAN device. Audio file formats supported are WMA, WAV, OGG, FLAC, MP3, and AAC-LC. Video file format supported include QuickTime, MPEG4 SP, WMV, and AVC. Image file format supported are GIF, BMP, TIFF, JPEG, and PNG. Files saved in the computer’s hard drive can also be transferred to a WALKMAN device using the application.
