MozBackup

MozBackup (Freeware)

MozBackup is a backup software that is capable of saving profiles from different web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, SeaMonkey, Netscape, Flock, Spicebird, and many more. It backs up and restores contacts, browser history, bookmarks, passwords, and mails. The program can be stored inside a USB stick for portability. Before backing up, the program looks for supported applications that are installed on the computer. A list of the available profiles that can be backed up will then be listed on the application’s window.

Users have the option to choose where to save the backup profile. All the backed up information can be password protected to prevent unauthorized users from viewing the user profile. The next part of the backup is choosing the files that need to be backed up. Some of these include general settings, user styles, extensions, saved form details, cookies, account settings, and many more. All of the components selected by default, but users can easily uncheck the boxes beside items that they don’t want backed up. MozBackup will then start backing up the files. There is a bar at the bottom of the window to show the progress of the backup. This action takes anywhere from a few minutes to several minutes, depending on how much needs to be backed up.
