Heavy Weapon Deluxe

Heavy Weapon Deluxe is a single-player shoot ‘em up video game developed and published by PopCap Games. It was initially released on February 24, 2005. In this game, the player controls a powerful atomic tank and guides it through different stages of opposing enemies. This tank can only move right and left and its main weapon (turret gun) can be fired in a span of 180 degrees. The storyline of the game revolves around the invasion of the Soviet Union (Red Star) wherein the player assumes the role of the Atomic Tank’s commander and his mission to drive the invasion back to the Red Star’s main headquarters. The primary idea of the game is a one-man battle against a group of Communism forces.

There are two game modes in the game – survival and mission – with a total of 19 missions/levels. In the survival mode, the player only has one life and the goal is to survive through never-ending waves of opponents until the Atomic Tank is destroyed. In the mission mode, the player must battle against the enemies and defeat the boss for each level. The player is given three lives for each mission. After defeating the boss, the player can visit the armory to obtain power-ups and upgrades before the next mission. After completing the first nine levels, the player will have to defeat the nine bosses again in the subsequent nine levels until the player reach the last level. The next time the player faces the bosses, the bosses will have new armors and weapons.
