Shank 2 beat ‘em up, side-scrolling video game developed by Klei Entertainment, Inc. It was first released on February 7, 2012. It is the direct sequel to the Shank video game. The game’s story begins when the carter leader named Cesar died and Shank’s homeland is now ruled by General Magnus and took control over the criminal activities of the cartel. At the start of the game, the leader of the rebellion, Elena, is kidnapped by the forces of General Magnus and use her heart to replace General Magnus’ heart because of his illness. Shank then goes and save Elena and prevent General Magnus from killing her.

In the game, the player assumes the role of Shank and uses his three different types of weapons – a ranged weapon, heavy melee and set of knives. The player can also collect temporary-use weaponry that has fallen from Shank’s enemies. Some of this weaponry includes fish and cleavers, crates and even grenades. In this installment, Shank has other attacks like the ability to throw opponents, multiple grapple attacks and also a pounce maneuver. Shank is also now capable of performing counterattacks. The game also features a multiplayer mode, which is a survival mode where two players battle against endless waves of enemies. An online co-op mode is also featured.
