Mystery P.I. - Stolen in San Francisco is a puzzle/hidden-object game first released in 2010. It is one of the games included in the Mystery PI series. In this game, the player assumes the role of the world-renowned Private Investigator. The story revolves around stolen solid gold worth $250 million dollars. The player is hired by the gold owner to find and return the gold within 17 hours. The gold owner is willing to reward the player with $20 million dollars if successful.
The game offers the same features as with the other Mystery PI games with minor changes. The main game requires the player to find a certain number of hidden objects from 25 different San Francisco locations. After finding all the hidden objects in one location, the player has to complete a puzzle a game in order to proceed to the next location. The game features a randomized hidden object system. This means that each time a person visit a certain location, the objects that need to be located vary. The main game mode is timed. Aside from these, the player can also unlock the two other game modes by finding all the hidden peace symbols and keys. There are also hidden flashlights in all levels. Finding all of these gives the player an added 1 million bonus points.
