PowerRecover is a security and backup software. The program’s main interface has three components – Backup, Recover, and Utilities. The backup feature of the application can perform full backups or incremental backups even while the computer is running. The backup is done without data loss. Users can store the backup in different devices, such as memory cards, external hard drives, DVDs, CDs, and USB drives. Other features of the backup tool include splitting image files and compression options (none, fast, and maximum).
Backing up files or the system can be done in four steps. First, select the source, select the destination, set the backup options, and begin the backup process. PowerRecover also has a password protection feature. Users can add a password to backups to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the files. The program does not limit file formats to be recovered and users can choose any file format for recovery.
The Utilities feature provides several tools including partitioning a disk, wiping a disk, creating a bootable disc or USB, and erasing a disk. Users can also use the Print Disc Label feature to create disc label print outs for the backup discs. The PasswordRecover program is available for purchase upon request.
