Scrabble Plus is a word game program developed by Gamehouse, Inc. It is based on the Scrabble board game, in which players form interconnecting words on the playing board using letter tiles with varying values. Words can be aligned horizontally or vertically. The game can be played in either single player or multiplayer mode.
The game features four game modes – Classic, Golf, Battle, and Wizard. The gameplay of the Classic game mode is the same as the original Scrabble board game. To win in this game mode, the player must attain the highest score. The game ends when there are no more tiles left or there are no more valid letters to use. In the Golf mode, the game setup also requires a single board and letter tile bag. Winning in this mode is the same as the Classic mode. The only difference is the number of bonus points given whenever the player plays a word through a Par 3, 4, or 5 golf green. In the Battle mode, the goal is to conquer as many territories as possible by playing words within the territory. The game setup in this mode requires two boards and two sets of tile bags (one for each player). The Wizard mode also requires dual boards and two sets of tile bags. The gameplay is the same as the Classic version with a little variation. In this mode, there are different categories. If the player plays a word that matches the given category, he earns bonus points.
