Dynamic Auto Painter (DAP) is a program developed by Mediachance Canada for transforming images into paintings. The program works by emulating the painting technique while also considering how real-life painters look at the same scenery or image. As a result, the program does not change the pixels of the chosen image. It only uses the image as a guide while implementing the different brushes to create a painting-like replica of the image.
The program’s interface provides all the necessary functions/features straight from the main window. It has a preview box in the middle that shows the transformation of the image. The main window also displays the available presets including the painter style, palette, canvas, dynamic painter, detail brushes, and brush strokes. It also provides a Quick Help dialogue box that provides quick tips for first time users. An Image Browser is provided which can be used to access computer files. An advanced tab is also available that provides advanced options such as paint strokes, misc global settings, paint mask settings, input settings, and others.
DAP is available in two editions – Standard and Pro. DAP pro is the fully featured version of the program for x64 OS while DAP Standard is the regular version for both 32x and 64x OS.
