HP Document viewer is a computer application developed by Hewlett Packard that is primarily used to view files. With this application, users can also do other activities, such as scanning, faxing, sending emails, printing and converting files.  HP document viewer supports different versions of HP Photosmart and HP Officejet. The main component of this software is the View Mode button. This button allows the user to select between thumbnail view or single-image view. Thumbnail view shows complete view of all images.

Aside from the View Mode button, there are other buttons that has specific functions. The Scan Document button allows users to scan graphical materials or texts. Convert Document to Text button converts files, such as .jpg or tiff. to text.  This can be done by clicking the Convert Document button and choosing a word application that is compatible with the software. Users should select the type of word application that will be used for the converting process.  The Send file button opens a file in a different program. The fax document button performs allows users to fax a document. The preference button saves the settings of the HP Document Viewer, which includes display warning, thumbnail performance, and Optical Character Recognition.
