Perfect Icon is used for creating icons from images that can be used as program icons on the desktop. Users can also edit existing icons in the system. It supports a variety of image file formats including PNG, BMP, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and other popular formats. Users can create new icons from personal images, downloaded images, or from screen captures.
The application’s explorer-like user interface is simple and easy to use. The command buttons are located at the upper portion of the window. The main editing area is located at the left side of the window, while the sliders for the icons effects (sharpness, hue, saturation, sharpness, lightness, and opacity) can be found at the right side of the window. Other icon settings that can be changed are the transparency and the resampling of the icon. The size, style, effects, and shadow of the resulting icon can be found at the lower right side of the main window.
