Tom Clancy's EndWar is a tactical and real-time, action-packed, strategy game . The game focuses on a war between Europe, the United States, and Russia. A Middle Eastern nuclear exchange that killed millions of people has also rendered oil control and military power to Russia. Players may choose to play for any country and command their military battalions whose units can be upgraded throughout the war’s course. Tom Clancy's EndWar is both a multiplayer and single-player game.
The game has a voice command feature wherein players can give orders verbally to execute game commands. Computer mouse and keyboard may also be used to control the game. Unit types, which the player can control include artillery, tanks, command vehicles, transports, helicopter gunships, engineers, and riflemen. Tom Clancy's EndWar also lets users control their upcoming campaigns as they take over key map sectors. War vehicles and artillery include APCs, helicopters, and tanks. Game mission types are raid, siege, assault, and conquest. Missions require players to accomplish specific objectives, such as holding and seizing uplink nodes on battlefields and eliminating key targets and enemies. Challenges include depleting enemy energy shields before actual damage can be inflicted on them. Game mission supports which may be upgraded are force recon, electronic warfare, and air strikes.
