NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player is a multimedia player specifically designed for 3D Vision Display. It allows users to watch stereoscopic DVDs and videos as well as live video from any supported captured devices. The application supports several media formats including AVI, MP3, 3D Blu-Ray, MPEG-1/MPEG-2, WMV, and more. Users can also code videos in various stereoscopic formats. The application supports various stereoscopic video layouts including NVIDIA 3D Vision-ready displays, Monoscopic, NVIDIA 3DTV Play, NVIDIA 3D Vision Discover, and more.
Although it is specifically made for 3D videos, the application can also be used to play regular movies and open digital images. Users may have to install filters and decoders to play other formats. The program’s interface is minimalistic. It offers all the standard buttons found in multimedia players including play, stop, repeat, and pause. Aside from this, it also includes a button for changing from 2D view to 3D view. NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player also offers advanced options available in the program’s menus. Available advanced options include adjusting the aspect ratio and parallax. Users also have the option to change the layout (i.e. over/under, side-by-side, and others). Other available options include cropping, zooming, and rotating. These options can be applied during playback. Adding metadata is possible also.
