Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing is a racing video game that was released in 2010. The game features Sonic and many popular characters from Sega-owned games. The player’s goal is to compete in races to win. There are various race circuits, which pay homage to Sega games. There are various items that can enhance the player’s kart, such as powerups that can boost speed. The game also employs a rock-paper-scissors style of game wherein a certain item is powerful over the other while weaker on another. Making drifts with the kart can earn the player boosts and points.

The characters in Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing game have special abilities unique to each of them. There are also All Star moves, which can last depending on the player’s position in the race. Vehicles are separated into three types. Cars are the balanced vehicles with weight and speed. Bikes are vehicles with fast acceleration. Hovercrafts cannot be affected by any terrain. Each vehicle type has its own engine sound.
