MAGIX Video easy HD is an application used in editing video files. File formats that can be used with the program include VOB, MPG, and AVI. Outputs can be uploaded to websites such as Facebook and Youtube, or exported into devices such as Samsung, iPhone, and iPad. They can also be in the form of Blu-ray Discs and DVDs.

The program’s interface is intuitive and streamlined. A help file equipped with snapshots is also provided for every type of computer user to have knowledge of and utilize the program. Import of video clips to the storyboard can be done via the drag and drop facility or the program’s file browser. Settings that can be adjusted include hue, speed, contrast, saturation, and brightness. Clips can be trimmed and videos can also be played backwards. Video effects include white and black, old movie, and sepia. Users can also import images and music, add text and titles, rotate objects, specify font animation, style, color, size and alignment, add noise, and darken edges, among others. Default settings may be restored anytime. The program’s Settings area allows users to designate video standard, file path for a specific project, video mode, preview quality, and background fade out and fade in time. Other program features include keyboard shortcuts, and project archiving.
