Golden Videos is an application used to convert VCR tapes into DVD, AVI, MPEG and PC files. Outputs can be viewed via television or computer, or saved and shared to others through websites such as YouTube. Outputs can also be saved for playback in devices such as PSP, iPhone, iPod, and mobile phones.
Program interface is simple with a streamlined layout. Any type of computer user can easily use the program. Users need to specify the output location as well as specific file format to be used for a certain conversion project. A program wizard guides users into the conversion process. The program can be customized to automatically correct analog video defects. Tools for video restoration such as sharpness and brightness enable movies to be at their best quality. Effects can be modified after or before videos are captured. Captions and titles can be applied, and recording levels of audio can be set for sound optimization. Video ending is automatically detected so users need not monitor conversions. Video color can be corrected and adjusted. Video effects include white and back, and sepia. A device for captuiring videos is needed to use the program. Technical skills are not required to use the program.
