iVolume 3 is a volume management tool that ensures all audio files are played using the same volume. The program is compatible with several programs and gadgets including iTunes, FrontRow, AirPlay, iPad, iPhone, and the Apple TV. It also supports common audio files formats like AIFF, MP3, AAC, and Apple Lossless.

iTunes must be installed in the computer in order to use the program. Once the application is installed, the volume levels of the songs can be checked by clicking on the ‘Start’ button. The program will automatically start assessing the volume of the songs. The ‘Sound Check’ feature of iTunes must also be checked. This can be seen under the Playback Settings window. The main window also allows the user to apply the volume adjustment to specific albums, songs, or the entire music library. A list of all the songs is displayed on the main window with the volume adjustment levels. The program only checks all the songs when it is used for the first time. The next time it is used, it only checks the songs that are newly added to the music library. Although the program is capable of adjusting the volume automatically, users can still manually adjust the volume level of the songs.
