theRenamer, also known as Awesome Simple Best TV Show Renamer, is an information management tool that allows a user to rename titles of television shows and movies stored in the hard drive. The program supports databases, such as EPGUIDES, IMDb, theTVDB, and TV.com. These are databases where the program gets information when renaming. The software arranges titles of files according to the user’s preferences. It supports the drag and drop feature so users just need to drag the video files to the interface of the application. theRenamer’s settings window allows the user to tweak renaming settings, such as the format for the numbering of episodes, the separators used for the title, and the file structure.
