IVMP (IV – Multiplayer)

IVMP is a modified version of Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV), a game concerning action and adventure.  The game’s developer is RockStar Games. IVMP modified Grand Theft Auto IV by turning it into a multiplayer game. With this, a number of players can play GTA IV all at the same time. It can be played locally as well as online. IVMP lets players do activities in GTA IV that are only allowed in the single-player campaign. Through this modification, it is also likely to create a scripted mode. Script editors that can be used are Notepad++, Visual Studio, and Eclipse. The only requirement for this mod to run is to have a copy of the original game.

Grand Theft Auto IV is a game where a player is given a large game world to interact with freely. Players can do a lot of locomotion on foot, and can also move from one location to another through vehicles. Because of the game's non-linear style, players can choose how they want to play the game. While majority of the main storyline is necessary to progress in the game, the player can finish the game’s story missions on their preferred order. With IVMP, Grand Theft Auto IV is expanded to allow players to play the game simultaneously through a network.
