Pokemon Online is a Pokemon massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Pokemon refers to two things. It refers to a franchise that originated from a Japanese brand called Pocket monsters and it also refers to the 649 fictional species that have been displayed on the anime, manga, trading cards, toys, books, and other media. Massively multiplayer online role-playing game is a type of game in which there are a huge number of online players involved. These players play in a virtual world from anywhere in the world.
As with other Pokémon games, the main concept of Pokémon Online is collecting pocket monsters. Players take the role of Pokémon trainers who ultimately have two end goals, that is, to collect all the Pokémon species available in the Pokémon universe and complete the Pokedex and to train a team of powerful Pokémon species to compete with the teams of other Pokemon trainers. At the start of the game, the player is asked to choose a starter Pokemon, which could be grass-type, fire-type or water-type. The player can use the starter Pokemon to weaken and catch other Pokémon with their Pokeballs. Users can use the starter Pokemon to battle with other Pokemon trainers, too. This will raise the level of the starter Pokemon, which will help defeat the Pokémon of Gym Leaders and ultimately be the tournament champion.
