IconLover is a graphics application used for editing cursors and icons for different operating systems, and also for the iPhone. The program’s interface consists of all the tools needed for creating and editing icons. Some of the tools are shapes, pens, an eraser, and a color palette. The application supports different sizes of icons. Users can create animated GIF icons, too. Furthermore, the program can be used to create banners and buttons to use on websites. It supports a variety of file formats including TFF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP.

For users who do not want to create icons and cursors from scratch, ready-made images can be imported to the program and then edited. The editor has multi-layer support, allowing users to create complex icons. Other features include support for transparency effects, smoothing and shadows, and mirror effects. The program also has a batch processing feature, which allows users to convert icon several icon files to a different format all at once. Applying the same effect to several icons is possible, too.
