Reader Rabbit’s Preschool: Sparkle Star Rescue is an educational game from the Reader Rabbit installment. This particular game in the series is geared towards kids aged three to five. The story is about Reader Rabbit’s quest to bring back all the stars that have disappeared from the sky. Reader Rabbit, together with Sam the Lion, Spark the Firefly, and the player go on a quest to the planet Sparkalot to bring back the sparkle on different objects.

The game consists of six different kinds of activities that focus on various skills, such as matching items, number skills, letters, and identification of words. Players are free to choose which activity to do first when the game starts. Completing activities will reward the player with gems that can put back stars to the sky. Players can stop anytime and resume at the save point. Reader Rabbit’s Preschool: Sparkle Star Rescue offers three difficulty levels to cater to players of different ages. More of the storyline is revealed as the player goes through the different activities.

The game is capable of saving and tracking the skills of up to 99 students, which makes it an ideal program to use in school or even at home.
