Recover My Files is a data recovery application that is capable of retrieving files from corrupt hard drives. It can also recover deleted files from the recycle bin. The program’s window offers users two options – Recover Files and Recover a Drive. Recover Files is used for retrieving lost or deleted files, as well as files that were lost due to a program crashing. Recover a Drive is used for retrieving files after reformatting the computer, after system restore, or files from missing drives. It is capable of recovering over 200 file types including archives, emails, music, videos, photos, and documents.

Recover My Files comes with a wizard that helps users go through each step when retrieving files. It searches for devices connected to the computer (camera, phone, USB, etc.). The user can click on the drive and search for the missing file. After searching, the results will be grouped in four categories: Folder, File, Date, and Find. Folders can be expanded by clicking on “+”. To save the files, the user can tick the box beside the file name and click on the Save button. The files must be saved in a different location from where it was recovered.
