Photo Story 3 for Windows is a photo sharing application that allows users to use their digital photos to create a presentation or a photo story in the form of a video. Users can choose which pictures to use, transitions, effects, and the background music. The video is saved in wmv format and can be played using Windows Media Player.
The program guides the user through the steps in creating a Photo Story. Users can also edit photos using the program. There are simple tools for rotating images, removing borders, and many more. Up to 200 photos can be imported at one time. The arrangement of the photos can be edited in the storyboard. Some of the effects that come with the program are black and white, colored pencil, diffuse glow, washout, watercolor, and sepia. Adding effects can improve the Photo Story.
One notable feature of Photo Story 3 for Windows is voice-over narration. Users can record a narration for each photo used in the slideshow. The background music can be downloaded or created as long as it is in mp3 form. Photos used in Photo Story 3 must not exceed 72,000 by 7,200 pixels.
