Created by Bioware, Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition was released in 2004 under Infogrames and Atari. It is an RPG (Role-Playing Game) and runs on various platforms. It can be played by a single player or multiple players in a network.

Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition is set in the world of Forgotten Realms. This fantasy game is closely related to the famous Dungeons and Dragons game. The player engages in story-mode under the guidance of a character called Lady Aribeth. The objective of the game is for the main character to recover four mystical creatures and safely bring them to a secure hideaway. The four creatures that must be found and retrieved in this particular game are the Cockatrice, Devourer, Yuan-ti, and the Dryad. These are Waterdhavian creatures that are needed to treat the Wailing Death disease, an illness that the plot of the game revolves around. It is important for the heroes to save those who have been affected by the dreaded disease. This is so that the entire Neverworld community will not be contained and quarantined.

During game play, there will be a number of obstacles that need to be overcome. The player will get into encounters and need to fend off attacks from assassins and cult members who wish to see the plague spread and devastate Neverworld.
