MkvToMp4

MkvtoMp4 is an application used for converting MKV files to MP4 and vice versa. When files are converted using this application, the output video does not have to be re-encoded, because it retains the same quality before it was converted to the new format. MKV files can hold a ton of data including video, 3D content, subtitles, audio, chapter points, and menus. However, not all media players can read MKV files, and this is why these need to be converted into a more readable format, such as MP4.
To begin converting, the user first loads the file into the program’s interface. This can be done through the "Add" button. Multiple files can be added and queued on the main pane. The conversion process begins when the user clicks the "Start" button. After the files are converted, they can be saved in the preferred output folder. MP4 files that are created using this application can be transferred and played on popular media devices, like the iPod and MP4 players.

The program supports the addition of audio and subtitle tracks from external sources. Moreover, before the conversion process, the file tags can be changed, as well as some of the program's meta properties, like artwork and title.
