The Sims 2 University

The Sims 2 University, released in 2005, is the first expansion pack for the life simulation game The Sims 2. The game adds a new life stage, which is young adult. After Sim teens graduate from high school, they can go to college and transitions to the young adult life stage. The College Town included in the game consists of Greek houses, dormitories, and also student residences. After declaring a major, college students must maintain their grades while balancing their social life. Majors available are Art, Drama, History, Literature, Biology, Economics, and Psychology.

Sims enrolled in college must successfully complete four years of education. Sims who fail a semester are automatically on probation and must repeat the sem. Failing a class while on probation will lead to expulsion. Having good grades are rewarded, too. Sims who are successful in their studies can be part of the Dean’s List or be awarded with grants.

The Sims 2 University offers new social interactions. Students can start up or join a band, tutor other Sims for cash, and improve grades by hacking into university computers. Sims can also be inducted into a secret society and experience the perks of being a full-fledged member.

The expansion pack introduced a new game character in the form of a zombie. Zombies can result from a resurrection gone wrong.
