AstroViewer is a program that allows users to access an interactive sky map to help them easily navigate the sky. Suitable for astronomy and astrology enthusiasts, the sky map displays the night sky and lets the user explore the stars, planets, and constellations from any part of the world and at any time. The application is available either for offline use (after it is downloaded) or as an online app. It identifies the names of the celestial objects that are selected to be on display and gives a variety of information about them.

AstroViewer’s functions are designed to be simple, allowing for speedy results. The user simply needs to identify his desired time and location to begin viewing the skies. The program makes it possible for the user to view the heavens in several ways.  For instance, the user can access a view from other popular international cities. The program is also able to display a 3D map of the entire solar system for at a specified time in history. Finally, it can show a visibility chart for any planet in a way that permits the user to determine which planet is situated above the horizon at a specified location on a given night. After enjoying the map view, the user can choose to print a sky chart.
