Launch of the Screaming Narwhal 1.03

The first episode, Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, is a continuous narrative chapter from the Tales of Monkey Island game series. The user takes the role of Guybrush Threepwood, a pirate who must find a cure for the voodoo pox that has spread across the Gulf of Melange. He must also defeat his opponent, the pirate LeChuck. Along the course of the game, the user must solve puzzles and explore the 3D environment for clues to finding the cure.

The puzzles in the game require the user to explore and interact with the island environment and use the items found in the game for solving the puzzles. Some puzzles require the user to combine items to create a new item. For example, a regular sword mixed with some voodoo materials will become a magical sword. In the game, the player meets other characters that will have errands or puzzles for the user to accomplish or solve. The first goal of the character is to get off the island. The second is to rescue Elaine Threepwood, the wife of Guybrush.

Gameplay allows the user to control the main character with the mouse or the keyboard. Controlling with the mouse requires the user to hold the mouse pointer at Guybrush and dragging him to the desired direction. Keyboard control can be done with the arrow keys or the WASD keys: W for up, A for left, S for down, and D for right.
