Rapport

Rapport is a security application that was designed for data protection. The program protects against phishing, pharming, keyloggers, screen capturing, and session hijacking. Some financial institutions, such as Bank of America, HSBC, Santander, The Royal Bank of Scotland, and Ulster Bank, offer the application to their clients through Internet banking. This is to protect the clients’ online bank accounts, mutual funds, emails, social networking sites, and other personal information. The program encrypts a signature on the computer. This cannot be accessed by third parties.

Rapport provides an additional layer of protection to prevent drive-by-downloads. It also removes malware from infected devices that are connected to the computer. One of the features of the program is detection of threat activity. When there is a potential threat to the personal details of a user, the financial institution gets a Trusteer Intelligence alert of the activity.
