HiSuite is an application designed to sync data on Huawei’s Android devices with Microsoft Outlook. In particular, the program syncs the calendar and contacts with the 2003, 2007, and 2010 versions of Outlook. Users can sync their devices manually, and Outlook asks for permission every time the syncing process is about to start. This application has two components: the program installed on the computer, and another that is installed on the Android device, called Hi Suite Daemon. The PC program assists the user in doing the manual synchronization while Daemon takes care of syncing to the Android device.
Synchronization using this application is done via USB and WiFi connections. When connecting an Android device to the computer via USB for the first time, Hi Suite installs Daemon to the device automatically. Synchronization via WiFi will only be possible when Daemon has already been installed previously, either by USB or by downloading the application from the Huawei website. After downloading and installing the app, users will be given a 4-character case-sensitive code to type in the computer program in order to pair the Android device to the computer and prepare it for WiFi synchronization.
The synchronization program also enables users to view applications and install or uninstall these as desired.
