House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets Collector's Edition

House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets Collector's Edition is a game in the hidden object adventure genre. The Collector’s Edition includes extra features that are not included in the standard release of the House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets game, including a screensaver, an integrated strategy guide, and bonus levels of gameplay. In this game, players help out Kate Reed in uncovering the secrets of the Lancaster family. Players get to communicate with the spirits and the members of the family residing in the big mansion.

The House of 1000 Doors: Family Secrets Collector's Edition has two game modes: Casual and Expert. In the casual mode, the hint button refills after a minute after it is used, and there are highlighted guides to show the player where the interactive zones are. In the expert mode, the hint button takes longer to refill and there are no highlighted guides. In addition to the hidden objects that must be found in each scene, players must also find hidden Beyond Objects that are scattered in different locations.

Players may review the clues they have uncovered in a journal, located at the bottom left corner of the game screen. The journal also includes a map where players can see all of the rooms in the house, with indicators of whether a room has already been visited or not.
