Downverter is a download manager and converter. It allows users to download videos from different hosting websites and supports a wide variety of file formats including OGG, 3GP, MPEG, M4A, and MP3. The converter included in the application allows users to extract audio from video files downloaded. The program’s main interface is simple and clean. Users just need to paste the URL where the video is hosted. A list of all the downloaded videos can be seen on the main window as well.

The program allows users to choose the quality of the download. There is normal definition and high definition. The second option is to choose a file type if the file needs to be converted. Additionally, there is a checkbox that allows the user to export the downloaded file directly to iTunes, where it can then be transferred to the user’s device (iPad, iPhone, or iPod). The filename and the output location can be changed as well. When all of these options are set, users can click on the “Start” button to begin the download process.

The program can run in the background while the user does other computer activities while downloading. The download speed can be changed in the options window to make way for browsing the Internet while simultaneously downloading the queued files.
