LicenseCrawler is a portable software application developed and published by Martin Klinzmann and enables users to scan their computers to locate purchased software registration numbers and licenses. Apart from Windows serial keys, License Crawler also detects those of other programs like Ashampoo, Nero, and VMWare among many others. There is no need to install this program – users can simply store it in any type of external storage device like a USB flash disk or portable hard drive, plug it into the computer, and run the application. Its portability makes it easy to use on the fly on any computer that runs on such Windows operating systems as Windows 95 to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
This program comes with a simple and intuitive graphical interface that can be navigated easily by users of all skill levels. The first step in using LicenseCrawler involves selecting the computer name as well as the registry folder to be scanned. Once the user clicks on the Start button, the program immediately looks for relevant software and lists them on the screen. Additional details such as software type and owner are included as well as the date and time of the scan. All of this information can be exported to a TXT document from the computer’s hard drive.
