New World Computing, Inc. Heroes of Might and Magic II Editor is a component of the game Heroes of Might and Magic II. This application comes with a comprehensive set of editing tools that enable users to modify their saved games as well as the game’s settings. These include the heroes, type of creatures or monsters, number of characters, skills (both basic and secondary), castles, artifacts, scenery or backgrounds, spells, and other resources related to the game. With this editor, users can change the color schemes of sceneries, apply different textures, change background colors, and modify character skills.

New World Computing, Inc. Heroes of Might and Magic II Editor also includes a map editor. Users can modify or create maps using the options NewMap or LoadMap. If they need to make their own map, they can choose NewMap. LoadMap is selected to edit any saved or existing maps. They can further make selection on what to create or edit. The “From Scratch” option is to create a map from scratch, while “Random” is the other option to make a map randomly.

Heroes of Might and Magic II, which houses the editor, is a PC game developed as a sequel to the program Heroes of Might and Magic or Heroes of Might and Magic I. It has the same gameplay and structure, but with new and improved elements.
