ProCoder 3 is a video encoding and transcoding application that was first released in 2007. The application has a wide variety of input and output options. The application has a simple interface for conversion. There are three tabs on the right pane of the window – Source, Target, and Convert. Users just have to add the file, set the options, and start the conversion process. Users can manage converting files by queuing them. Priority functions can also be set to give way to more important files.
ProCoder 3 also has built-in video filters. Some of the filters include gamma correction, rotate, sharpen, and Gaussian blur. Other video editing tools are temporal noise reducer, color correction, and black or white correction blur. Three audio filters are included in the program, too (lowpass, normalize, and volume).
Here are other key features of the ProCoder 3 application:
• Support for several CPUs within one PC
• Multi-pass VBR processing
• Drag and drop conversion feature
• Presets for Blu-ray authoring application
• Aspect ratio and NTSC/PAL conversion
The application can be used for merging several files together to come up with a single file. It also has an export plug-in for the editing software Grass Valley EDIUS.
