FairStars Recorder is an audio application that enables users to record audio coming from the computer. It supports a wide range of audio file formats including FLAC, WAV, OGG, MP3, and WMA. Users can record using a microphone connected to the computer or using the computer’s soundcard. The application comes with a Record Wizard, which makes the application easy to use even for novice computer users.

The program’s main window is small and the command buttons are located at the upper portion of the window. The File List is located at the bottom part of the window. One of the main features of the program is its capability to follow a recording schedule. When the schedule is enabled, users can choose a date for the recording (once, daily, or weekly), and provide a time start, time stop, or the duration of the recording. The output file location can be chosen as well.
