Web Dictate 2.11

Web Dictate is a dictation program that enables users to record and edit audio dictations. The program is used by different entities, such as hospitals, businesses, libraries, laboratories, and many others. Dictations can be recorded in two different formats. These formats are DCT or WAV. Dictation can be done on the user’s computer or from a server, so users can access the program on any computer. The recording window has a player with command buttons (play, record, stop, rewind, and fast forward). Users can also select the recording method from the drop down list. The recorder also displays the duration of the recording. After recording, the audio file can be saved to the computer or sent through email by clicking on the “Send” button located at the top portion of the window. Other features of the application are listed below:

• All dictated audio files that are saved on the server are protected with a password to prevent unauthorized users from accessing information
• Several dictation files can be saved on the server depending on the space on the hard drive
• Audio dictation recordings can be send to another user through FTP (File Transfer Protocol) or through email
• Support for creating user profiles
