Philips Songbird

Philips Songbird is a music management program for synchronizing files with the Philips GoGear mp3 player. The program supports lossless codec support (APE and FLAC). The program compresses files without changing the quality of the audio file. The application also comes with RDS (Radio Data System) that allows users to listen to radio stations from the Internet. Up to 20 radio stations can be saved in the program for easy access.

The multimedia player’s interface is simple and even beginners can use it. Users can edit the metadata of the song files (artist, album, song title, genre, etc.) before transferring them to the mp3 player. In addition, users can search and download audio files within the program. There is a search field where the title of a song or the name of an artist can be typed in. The program will display the results on the window. Users can download the song and save it to the program’s library.

Philips Songbird synchronizes the content in the mp3 player with the music library in the computer. Whenever new songs are added to one of the devices, the application automatically synchronizes the content when the device is connected to system.
