TagScanner is an application used for organizing digital music libraries. The program allows users to edit tags of different audio file formats. Metadata for audio files can be complete automatically or manually. The Automatic Tag feature fetches music information from different sources, such as Amazon, FreeDB, and Discogs. It is also capable of getting song information from files and folders. The program’s main window consists of four tabs – Music Renamer, Tag Editor, Tag Processor, and List Maker.
The tag window shows all the information that can be edited. The main tags are the track number, song title, artist, album, album artist, year, and genre. Other information that can be included is the publisher, original artist, conductor, grouping, etc. The song’s album art can be displayed, too. The settings window allows users to set options for tags, network settings, and the genres and templates. TagScanner has a built in media player that allows users to listen to audio files or preview songs before adding the appropriate information.
Here are more features of the TagScanner program:
• Support for tagging of multiple files
• Support for embedded lyrics and folder art
• Playlist creation
• Support for Unicode
• Multilanguage interface
All the music information can be exported as HTML, CSV, or XML.
