American Girl - Mia Goes For Great 1

American Girl – Mia Goes for Great is a computer game that was first released in 2008. The game revolves around Mia St. Clair, a 10-year old girl who wants to chase her dreams of becoming a figure skater. Mia belongs to a family of hockey players. She is a hockey player herself, but is aspiring to shift to being a skater. The player must help Mia reach her dreams by completing tasks. These tasks include choosing a skating costume, selecting the best skating routine, and choosing the best music to accompany her performance on ice. As the game progresses, Mia gets to meet different people that will help her along the way. There are also some challenges and problems that need to be solved,  so that players can advance through the story.

Apart from the main gameplay, players also get to experience solving different kinds of mini-games, such as Snowflakes and Rink Sweep. These mini games give more variety for the player. The game also comes with a hint system that helps users create a skating program for Mia. The player’s main goal is to help Mia prepare her routine so that she is ready for the Regionals and the upcoming Winter Show.
