NaturalReader is a text-to-speech program developed by NaturalSoft Limited. The program enables users to convert written text into spoken words. The program comes in 4 varieties—Free, Personal, Professional, and Ultimate. The Free version comes with Microsoft voices while the other versions have natural voices in varying numbers of 2, 4, and 6. The program recognizes all text formats including Word, PDF, emails, and HTML text. The program comes as an Add-in feature to Microsoft Word. NaturalReader also features a Pronunciation Editor when it comes to wrong or mispronounced words. The program offers a Conversation control function.
NaturalReader features text to audio conversion on the paid versions. Supported audio file formats include MP3, OGG, and WMA. It likewise supports batch file processing for text to audio conversion. Users may modify the output folder file path before conversion. The program also offers some audio setting configuration modifications including quality and bitrate.
NaturalReader main interface comes with playback buttons at the top and a text input box at the bottom. Playback buttons include Back, Play, Pause, Next, Stop, and Loop. Users may also set a hotkey for the program. Highlighting the text coupled with pressing the hotkey will trigger the program to read the text. NaturalReader comes with a floating bar interface aside from its main window. This allows users to keep the program floating in front of the source file or webpage.
