Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is an adventure video game based on the popular animated film of the same name. The player assumes the role of the film’s main character Flint Lockwood, a young scientist who is trying to come up with a great invention. His latest brainchild is a special machine that can create various food items out of nothing, as well as control their size and quantity. Lockwood’s invention solves the food problem of his hometown Swallow Falls , thereby making the residents happy and he a local celebrity. The people’s greed eventually causes the machine to overproduce food, which in turn is quickly burying the entire town in a mountain of food.

The player’s task is to restore order in the town by digging through the food mess until it is all gone. A second player can take the role of Steve, Flint’s pet monkey Steve in the film. The game’s introduction features a retro feel that reminds players of an 80s video game. The player is given just one machine tool at the beginning of the game, but s/he can access the other two machines as the game progresses. These tools are supposed to help the player get past the food obstacles that come along the way. The player must select the right tool that will obliterate the food obstacles.
