VirtGuard

VirtGuard is a surveillance system that may be used with a webcam, a digital camera, or a personal computer. With this application users can build a security system for their homes or offices. This program is designed to log activities, detects motion, and save images taken. It may be used by any person—even someone without advanced computer skills, to transform a regular PC into a state-of-the-art digital video surveillance system.

VirtGuard is an advanced program given the possible adjustments that users can make. There is a filter that analyzes the output of the motion detector. If there are signs of danger, the application sends out an alarm. Users can adjust the program’s level of sensitivity and area of coverage. The application saves images on a remote FTP server or a local hard disk.

This program may be used for a variety of applications including surveillance of residential grounds, monitoring of the baby’s nursery, and monitoring of pets when owners are not at home. Commercial establishments can make use of this application to monitor the business establishment.

VirtGuard is created in 2003 in the Ukriane by RonyaSoft. It is easy and convenient to use and it runs on Windows 1995, Windows 1998, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It is also easy to configure and install on a Windows system.
